First we have some quiet owl contemplation. But just after :30, something interesting happens: there’s a little bit of a “coo.” And the reason why that’s interesting is I’m pretty sure the bird we can see *isn’t* the bird doing the talking, because these guys tend to be pretty full-body when they hoot. So that would mean one bird (probably Simon) is just hanging out on the branch while the other bird carries on conversation from inside the nest. And that is grade-A adorable.
