You will have to take my word for it that these are two different butts. Left is Scooby, busily chewing on twigs over the neighbor’s porch (as evidenced by poops). Right is Shaggy, all the way at the top of the nest tree (the author of the skull pellet I found on my porch). In past years we’ve seen the babies on the same basic schedule and in the same tree-vicinity for the first week or so, so this is interesting. But I’m sure they can hear each other even though they’re not on the same branch.
