There has been some conversation in the last days about whether Scooby and Shaggy were perhaps less intelligent than their 2022 sisters Ketanji and Jackson. K&J started using both entrances the day I “met” them, while Scooby and Shaggy have been shoving each other around to get out the same entrance. (And two days ago we all watched in horrified delight as Daphne, who had been IN the nest, climbed over both boys to get out that same hole!) Fortunately, Neighbor Kathy — who has both a more owl-like circadian rhythm and a direct visual line of sight into the nest — spotted this arrangement this morning. This doesn’t explain why Daphne will only use the south entrance, but at least it’s one less worry about the ScoobyIQ!
