At 8:30 last night, Neighbor Jack texted to say he had two babies and an adult in his yard again. They were in the same oak tree they’d been in on Wednesday. About five minutes later, Jack says, the adult took off to the west, and seconds later the babies followed. So what we can see here is that the kiddos have developed real abilities to steer and to fly longer distances, that they’re ranging all over the neighborhood, and that mom and dad continue to encourage and educate (and feed!) them. Also, they like the drama of this branch!
