I have been quite wrong on some of the Owl Rules I have extrapolated over the years, so I say this with all the grains of salt. But last year an owlet came back on 6/19. And yesterday Daphne was in Daphne’s Spot all afternoon. And today Simon is in Simon’s Spot snoozing away just like it’s February. Maybe mid-June is a point when the owlets are kind of starting to be on their own and the adults can do more of their normal adult things, including afternoon naps in their favorite spots? Anyway HERE IS SIMON, who opened one eye and laughed at me after I’d been searching for him for a few minutes. (The angry birds tipped me off.)
